Rib Rodeo
The racing

Barrel racing, run in four divisions.

Every rider runs the same cloverleaf pattern around three barrels, against the clock. The field is split into four divisions by time, and each division pays its own places — so the fastest horse on the grounds doesn't take everything.

About the Women's Open
Two facts
100% payback
Every entry dollar goes back to the riders. Riders pay a single grounds fee for the weekend. That fee covers the office, the timers, the ground and the officials. It never enters a pot.
The schedule never moves earlier
If the day runs ahead, that becomes prep time. If it runs behind, you're notified. Told six o'clock, six o'clock is the earliest you ride.
